Engine to tight

bought a 4.3 v6 complete unassembled engine.
all went good until I installed the pistons
Gaped the rings and when I installed the piston the engine got tight.
All rod bearing are .002
I have only installed 5 pistons and when I do I have to drive them down with a rubber mallet. Can not lust push them as I have seen videos
starter will not turn engine over. I do it with a long bar on the front balancer.

Thanks

did you check the pistons for adequate clearance in the bores?

Did you plasti-gage the rod bearings to make use the crank was ground right?

Not knowing what you bought from whom make this a guessing process...

Acks like wrings are to tight but did gap them

I agree with MMark.

You say you did this, you say you did that.

Do you think anyone but YOU know what you did and the specifics of what you did?

Before posting again, you should write a full post with EVERY PIECE of detail and all specs, measurements and anything else that may matter even if it doesnt.

Otherwise there will be 100 posts asking you each and every question that you should answer before any additional responses are requested.

Did you:
measure the pistons to the bore
did you insert the rings in the bore to check end gap
did you oil everything before assembly
