Engine Swap Inp

I have a 2009 130 ETEC with about 60 hours and no troubles.

I am looking another boat with a 150 Merc EFI. It is 2 cycle with a separate oil tank and has 300 hrs. Owner says well maintained and garage kept.

The rig will hit 52 mph.

I love my ETEC, would there be an advantage to swap my ETEC or just keep the Merc?

I have a 130 ETEC. Also looking at buying boat with the Merc. Have the option of selling either the ETEC or the Merc. Looking for advise on the merits of which is the better engine to keep.

I would ask why you are actually considering a motor with 300 hrs. You have no idea if the motor was actually taken care of like he said. But you have a known motor with 60 hrs on it. Keep the E-tec sell the Merc

The 150 Merc is on a boat I would like to have but I now own the ETEC 130 that I could put on the boat I'm looking at and the try to sell the Merc. The boat is a 19' Mako CC. I would loose 20 HP, but think this would not be a serious power reduction.
