I see a slow raw water drip at

I see a slow raw water drip at where the shaft goes into the coupling going out to the prop. Can I repair this in the water or do I need to haul out?

yes you can repair it in the w

yes you can repair it in the water if you are talkin about the packing you should see two nuts the frist nut is your packing nut the second nut is the jam nut frist thing to do is loosen the jam nut then slowly tighten the frist nut until water drip stops then tighten the jam nut start eng /put in gear you should see a drip of water every 30 seconds or so if not readjust until you see water dripping it has to drip to lubricate the shaft

"It will leak, but not as bad as you would think. Have a rag handy to jam in there while you remove the old packing and replace it with new Teflon type (which works super).
