DP-S drive...same as DP-S A or DP-S B?

DIY parts identification is a really chore on boats...hell I've had dealers crew up. With the help of many people smarter than me we deterred that my drive is a DP-S although another identification on it says it was a SX-C1. Looking for a OEM V/P gimbal bearing and I think the number I need is:

3888555​

But then cross referencing it I see things like it fits DP-S A or DP-S B while I was told I simply had a DP-S. Do these sealed bearings fit many many many application for V/P?

Ayuh,.... Nearly all gimbel bearings are the same bearing,....

Thx. Since posting this I did look up a lot of tansom shields to see they are mostly the same and figured mine out. Looks like even some makes we’re same between Merc and VP.
