dies when hot 9.9 johnson

So just picked up a 14 ft troller hull and 9.9 Johnson
The motor idles but kind of rough like its missing took it
out on my 12 ft vhull jon and plenty of getup but it didn't feel
right like it was misfiring. Go . To turn back and the engine cuts
out instantaneously. Would not restart so I paddle my not so happy
self to shore still will not crank load up the boat Drive home maybe
30 minutes after it died fired right up but still rough and or missing...
For it to cut out so suddenly I'm thinking electrical. So something is
cutting out while hot power pack? Coil pack?

Any help is appreciated

First thing is to check compression engine cold. Was it pumping water? Also check for open air spark gap. It must jump a gap of at least 3/8 brite blue snap with a spark gap tester. Do the compression and spark gap tests and get back with the results and the model number of the motor.

ok 90 psi both cylinders while running i can pull top plug it wants to die

pull bottom one will continue to run a lil worse but not much worse so does this mean coilpack?

so thru some new plugs in it when im reving it in neutral i can watch the clear fuel line from the pump to carb and it seems likes its pumping bubbles? is this normal?

Did you ever solve this? Same problem here
Me too , engine dies when I remove bottom cylinder coil lead , swap the coils around and same cylinder is affected .had new coils and power pack, Have rebuilt carb . Can only think compression but both cylinders are around 90psi. Both cylinders receiving bright blue spark .
