i have a good running 125hp without reverse.
i found an 85hp with bad engine cheap.
can i swap lower units, is water pump and shaft parts the same
the same? both motors are 20".
if the swap would work, is there is a differrence in gear ratio?
could that be rectified with a higher pitch prop?
Currently, the engine has 17" pitch and is mounted on a 177 17' glastron boat (not a heavy boat).
Props for that engine can go to 21" pitch
