Crankshaft Repair

Hello, I am currently rebuilding my 1992 120hp force L drive and found pitting 1 connecting rod journal. I have tried polishing it out with crocus cloth but am not 100% happy with the results. I am wondering if anyone has had success with having the journals ground and welded or if I am better off tracking down a good used crank.

Find a good used crank.----Make sure you get one that fits L-drive as spline might be different.
