This is a side bar request my" 318 cooling problem" post
I am having difficulties in solving my cooling problems. So I am going back to the begining
I am not able to find a Cooling system diagram. I do not have a LM engine but I believe that it is a LA. The year is 1973. No Circulating Pump - Dual port water pump
Here is what I believe the water flow to be:
Seacock hose to Water Pump - !st port ---Water Pump thru 90 deg hose to Water Pump Housing. Thru housing to other side and up to a large port.

From this port to a port on the Intake Manifold.
Water flows thru the engine block ,both sides and out thru the Thermostat Housing.This housing has two ports. One goes to the Bypass hose and out to the top of the Riser. The other goes to a tee then out to the bottom of each Exh Manifold.
Water flows thru the bottom of the manifold and out to a tee and then to the Oil Cooler. Thru the Cooler to the 2nd lower port on the water pump.
From the upper port on Water Pump water flows to a tee and then to the top of each manifold and then out thru the Exhaust system -out of boat.
Is there and internal flow from the Water Pump Housing to the engine block.
