Cooling problem

I've got a 2005 5.0 mpi (single point drain). New impeller, manifolds and risers. Ran for 30 minutes on hose and gauge stayed at 100. Checked with temp gun while running and all hoses, risers, block, thermo housing were all under 110°. The starboard manifold was also 110° but he port mnifold was 165°. Stuck thermostat ? Why was the port manifild the only thing to get over 110° . Any ideas ? Thanks !

Ayuh,.... One side Always runs warmer than the other,.....

Could be as simple as how the boat is sittin' on the trailer, or the grade under the trailer,.....

Thanks bondo ! Still wondering why it wouldn't come up to temperature while running on the hose.

Do your temp checks on the water running at cruising speed while the engine is working hard. Post the results.

Did you replace the oil cooler with the manifolds and risers? If you do not know how old it is just replace it for preventive maint. Too important to overlook!

Didn't replace ps cooler, I'll recheck temps when I can get it in the water. Thanks

Look at the maintenance schedule for your engine it will tell you when the oil cooler needs replaced. About all you can do is give it a good back-flush with the garden hose. Put two short hoses on it and fill wth 50/50 bleach water and let soak overnight then flush it in both directions.
