Coil to flywheel distance ?

I've looked and looked but am unable to find it for any motor ?
can someone point me in the right direction ?

We dont know what motor you have,that would help.A Johnson/Evinrude magneto ignition they have special tool to set the clearance.Without that tool you can set the coil legs so they are flush with the bosses on the armature plate,then rotate the flywhee! by hand to make sure the dont drag.

Yes Johnson/Evinrude Yea I bought that ring so your saying the gap doesn’t have to be measured just as long as the coil doesn’t drag then I’m good ?
And not to far away

Do what stork said in last sentence. You appear to be working on two different motors. It’s better to continue a single thread for each vs a new thread for each question.
