Chrysler 6.6

I have recently purchased a Leisure 17 yacht that came with a Chrysler 6.6 outboard. I thought this would be OK for the tidal estuary that I will be sailing on, but I have read somewhere that this is a freshwater motor. Does anyone have any knowledge / experience of this please ?

Ayuh,... There ain't no differences 'tween an outboard run in freshwater, vs; saltwater, other than the care, 'n cleanin' done to it....
