Can you help me identify an engine part and its purpose?

Hi folks. I have a f60 autolube. I dropped the bottom end off today to check the impeller. All was good but while I was doing it I seen a small diameter tube coming from the leading edge of the lower gearbox leading up to the engine cowl at the front of the engine.
Can anyone advise what this is for as its not attached at the top end ( don't know where/ how it fits.
Any help appreciated.

F60 would be a Yamaha four stroke. Autolube I presume relates to the Yamaha Precision Blend System of automatic oil injection.

As noted, the only tube from the lower unit up the mid-section and into the bottom cowling is the hose that conveys water pressure from the Pitot tube in the lower unit to a speedometer. If a speedometer is installed.
