Can i use an HEI distributor on a boat?

I have a 87 350 small block can i use an HEI distributor on my engine to replace the old one?

Whatever you use it should be marine approved and certified.
If not, you run the risk of becoming a statistic, if there should be a fuel leak in the engine compartment.
In the event of a fire or explosion your insurance company will look for any reason at all to deny a claim, and non-authorized parts would be all they would need.

Ayuh,... If it's off an ole Chevy motor, with a vacuum pot, No,...

If yer lookin' at the new Delco EST hei's that are built for Boat motors,...
Ya, it's 'bout the Best thing goin' these days...
Reasonably inexpensive too...
