Buying every non-working outboard near me - dumb idea?

I will be spending a TON of time here in the next month. I decided to see if it was worth buying a bunch of not running outboards near me on FB Marketplace and Craigslist. In the last two weeks I have about 14 outboards and I am documenting everything. If you are bored, check it out on Youtube search for “Parts Cannon Garage” which is what I decided to call it. I am an amateur at best so don’t get your hopes up lol.

Wish me luck and place your bets! :)

Sweet old boat motors are so cool !!
I went to an estate sale here a few weeks ago and bought all they had 8 in total that's what brought me here.
Good luck on ur journey

The compression at 35 PSI is not very good.----Another tester or pull the head.----Water must be well above an impeller in a test bucket.</p>

Hook your compression tester up to that working lawnmower. If it also shows low value, you know the tester is a POS. If it shows 100+, your Evinrude is low.
Your 1 st motor in the whiteboard shows the same values, I’d suspect the gauge.
