Hey guys just bought a 2007 Honda bf225 and want to know how I can get fuel consumption as nmea2000 is not compatible before 2010

If you have the digital gauges - that is, the two big round ones with multiple functions, the one with the speed indicator has a fuel flow and fuel economy mode built in. See attached. If you have analog gauges, then do as 123jay says.

What CHawk mentioned above is what I have for my 2006. They work great except when your pitot tube gets clogged but still does great at measuring flow rates and consumption.

Cut and plug the pitot tube just before it comes out of the engine, and install an external pitot on the bottom of your transom. Then splice it into the tube that goes up to the instruments. It works just as well, and if it gets clogged or broken it's a $10.00 +/- replacement.
