Hello, I'm replacing an automotive water pump on my 5.7 with an NOS volvo penta pump, and the new pump doesn't have a bypass hole to the block. Should I plug the bypass hole in the block or find a marine pump with the hole? The engine was originally from a truck rebuilt to marine specs. Did VP originally plug these bypass holes?
