I have an aq131 with a 275 drive that overheats. I found out that the raw water pump wasn't pulling enough water. I found a leak at the top end of the water tube in the intermediate housing. Since it comes out the bottom is it possible to just pull the lower gear housing and replace the seals on that tube with the drive still attached to the boat or do I have to pull the whole thing back off? Has anyone ever tried this with it still on the boat?
