I just received a set of 4 Mahle pistons for the early Volvo B20 engine and the most noticeable difference from the old (but not original) pistons and the new ones is that the the new ones are not drilled. The old pistons are drilled perpendicular to the wrist pin bores. Can anyone shed some light on this-should I drill them myself? I have access to a modern machine shop, so the drilling is no issue. Thanks for any help. BTW, these are Ø22mm pin pistons.
