Installed a seal/impeller kit on mine two winters ago and noticing I am getting water in the upper gearcase now. Need to remove and reseal, however I'm hoping someone might have a good condition matching outdrive so I could keep as a spare. The Chicagoland boating season is so short I hate to be down for more than a week. Easy to swap the outdrive if needed and fix the other. Sadly I missed one on craigslist by a few days, they were asking $100.
My other thought was to dump the entire OMC setup from my pontoon, cut out the existing engine bay and install a transom pod like one of these: http://www.billsboatstuff.com/product-page/transom-pans-pods
It would actually be a pretty easy job on the pontoon vs a v-hull boat, but then I saw the cost of even a used half decent 120ish HP outboard...
