"Bradley, most of the older outboards used a heavier fuel/oil ratio. I would start with a 26:1 fuel/oil. Back then they used regular 30 weight motor oil or "outboard" oil, usually one quart oil to 6 gallons of reg gas. This is the mix that I used on my '57 Evinrudes. They smoke and leave a trail in the water. As for the plug gap measure what you have now an keep it at that. I'm sure someone else can answer that question.

First reply since accepted on Marine Engine .Com for this one is 1/2 pint to the gallon.

CCW3 or equiv.

Points 0.020 and plug Champion F4j at 0.035.
