Anchor rope

Hello, i have a 1986 Wellscraft 248 sportsman 24'. was wondering what anchor rope should i be getting? This is a restored boat.

Ground tackle is difficult to buy / find when you really need it.----Been there done that.-----So I would say minimum 5/8" nylon line.

depends on what your use is...if you just need a lunch hook, then 3/8" diameter 3 strand is plenty strong enough....

If you want to fish in the ocean, 1/2 diameter will be much easier on the hands...
