Alpha one 3 L (2003) Engine Start Problem

Engine serial #OM 647230, Alpha One 3 L, 2003. Turn ignition switch got click. Replaced fuse at starter solenoid, circuit breaker, slave solenoid, and cranking battery. Now get heavy "thunk" like starter motor trying to crank engine. Removed spark plugs and sprayed fluid into cylinders. Can turn crankshaft with some difficulty.

Drain the drive gear oil post back what you see.

Or pull the drive, see if it turns easy then.

Or pull the starter first have it tested. Any auto zone will do it.
