Aftermarket O2 sensors... Anyone tried them?

Over on the hull truth there's a guy who's bought an aftermarket O2 sensor for his BF225 from eBay ($25) and he's done 10 hours so far with no issues.

Here in the UK I can get them (advertised as BF200/225 specific) direct from China fit about $35.... For such a small outlay I'm tempted to get one in as a spare just to see what happens.

Anyone else tried one?

Personally IMO you get what you pay for. On my boat I run out 50 + miles one way offshore. I wouldn't jack around with a vital part like that of the motor. Stick with OEM and save yourself some grief in the long run.

Interestingly I repowered 16 months ago trip 250s I have just gone 80 hours, and am having faults on all three engines all O2 faults.
Dont say much for OEM.

I tend to agree with you Skooter - but if an O2 sensor goes out it wont' stop you running, it just runs a bit rich.
And arguably when they're so cheap you could keep a few on board and just swap them out on the water.

That said - we have no idea if they work anyway!!
