94 PCM transmission changed now won’t go over 3000 rpm

I had a new 80 series transmission put in. Took the kids out tubbing and boat won’t plane out as fast as it did and won’t get over 3000 rpm’s. Struggles to get to 23mph when pulling tubers. Was much better with the old transmission before it went out. I put new gas in it. Had new plugs before the tranny change.

is the new one the same ratio as the old one?

Found the culprit. I had 2 distributor wires switched. Problem fixed. Must have switched them accidentally when winterizing

I'd hope you note what two misfiring cylinders do to the fully loaded engine....
