My mechanic just replaced the coil on my 90 hp motor. We took the boat to lake and everything seemed to run fine. We stopped for lunch. After lunch the motor wouldn't crank and my wife told me that the motor was smoking. The rectifier burned up. Could replacing the coil have something to do with the rectifier? This seems very strange to me?
