9.8 Nissan carb problem

The carburetor on my 9.8 Nissan 4S needs a good cleaning. Will it be OK to dunk it in Berryman Chem-Dip carburetor cleaner for several hours?

Not sure here , some carburetor cleaners will attack platic parts.---Any instructions with the cleaner ?

Yes.

A proper cleaning will involve complete disassembly (including jets and emulsion tube), followed by 4 hours in real carb dip at room temps, and then a liberal blow-out with generic carb spray before a careful reassembly and reinstallation.
