89 80 hp mercury water coming from a small hole on the lower end

89 80hp Mercury changed the water pump. The pump came with o rings which my pump never had so I did not put them in. Im not getting good water flow out of the pee port lol. But there water coming from a small hole on the top front of the lower end and a hole on the lower front of the crane shaft housing above the speedo hose fitting. When pull the motor out of the water run out of the holes which has never happened before. so Im thinking something not quite right.
