seems like it runs on 3 cylinders then 4th jumps in and engine revs up for a second and then runs smooth at idle for a bit then goes back to idling rough again, the cycle continues. Not noticing it at open throttle, Boat still gets up on a plane nicely and still does about 30mph at 5500 rpm.
Have replaced plugs, wires, power packs and ignition coils. My mechanic said it could be the stator. He just rebuilt the carbs and did a link and sync on it and he noticed the issue as well and said it smoothed out for him after the engine warmed up but I took it out last weekend and it kept doing it.
Anyone have experience with this issue?
I have been robbing parts off my parts motor which ran great until it lost a cylinder.
