75hp not starting

Hi all i have this mercury 75hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke its been given to me with a boat it had numerous problems its had a new voltage regulator and trigger assembly carb and floats but its been standing for a few years I've put fresh fuel and new plugs and battery but it won't even attempt to start nothing whatsoever what advice could you give me because I haven't a clue with outboards only basic stuff any help would be appreciatedView attachment 27448

The first thing I'd do is to check to see if you have any spark, pull a wire off and see that the spark will jump at least 7/16 inch. After that it would be good to check the engine compression but start with the easy one first.

If it' spinning over but not starting, check out the enrichener valve to see if it's operating.

Not even turning over is another thing, sounds like it's time to check battery condition, cables, starter and starter relay. I hope you have a test light, it would come in handy right about now.
