Just bought a legend xtr 16 with a new 75hp mercury seapro on it. The prop is 13.25x17p. Went out for the first run, varying rpm for first 10 mins, then went full throttle. On the gauge on the boat it goes passed the max rpm of 5500 and then hits the limiter. Tried to leave the rpm around 5000 and see if it picks up, but always ends up cutting out. Only getting 10mph out of it maxed out. Anti-cavitation plate is flush with bottom of the boat. And I pulled off the prop to see if it was slipping and nothing is tore up. Is it as simple as going up in pitch or is something else on the go?
