"I have two engine both 1972-7

"I have two engine both 1972-73 Chrysler outboards , One is a 70hp that I'm running right now and the other is a 135hp that i just picked up and plan on running on my 14'fiberglass in the spring.

does anyone know the weight difference between the two engines? i cant imagine that one extra cylinder could weigh that much more. And also a good prop size that would get me to top speed quicker.

thanks"

"A 135 on a 14 foot fiberglass

"A 135 on a 14 foot fiberglass? I can't imagine that engine would be a good idea on that small of a boat. I would guess it wouldn't be coast guard approved and/or exceeds manufacturers limits on horsepower.
Given those things, it would not only be illegal on most waters, you couldn't get insurance on it. Any small accident and you would be held liable. Huge liabilities when you do stuff like over power a boat.
Personally, I wouldn't do it. Stick with the 70 hp."
