Bought the above OEM seal kit for my J70TLCNB 1982 Motor and it’s not clear what is supposed to be in the kit.
I can see on the parts diagram item 33 which is 0321716 some type of ring(backup) but it does not look to be part of the kit I purchased and it was not on the trim assembly when I disassembled it.
Maybe the previous owner never replaced it or it was never there. It would appear that I am the first one to crack this tilt trim assembly but I am not 100% sure.
Should it be part of the kit?
Was it part of the original assembly?
Do I need it?
Since a back up ring for the tilt had to be ordered separately I think this may also be the case on the trim but it’s not clear since the kit does not list the parts.
Any one have any insight to this?
