5hp 2 stroke

Thanks Paul. That is the first thing I did before tilting it. The shut off is working properly, just checked it. Anything else to check?

Run the carb out before tilting; the fuel in the bowl can overflow the carb vent when tilting; it will only be an ounce or so, but if you idle the carb dry with the gas cock off, the dribble can't happen.

I had the same problem with a NS3.5A 2-stroke.
I'm going to try shutting the fuel cock off before tilting.....as soon as the season gets underway.

I've thought that there might be an air leak at the fuel cock when the fuel is shut off....
and the fuel line drains into the carburetor causing it to overflow.
Just a thought......we shall see!

If there was an air leak when tilted, there would be a fuel leak when the fuel was on, so I doubt that... but you should always run the carb dry as a matter of prudence.
