50hp tohatsu clunking at idle

i got a 50hp tohatsu on a 4.1 thundercat, and it has just started to make a clunking sound at idle it stops as soon as bring the revs up a bit.
i was just wondering if any of yous had the same problem and if so how did you fix it.
