50 hp mercury 4 cylinder

I just bought this motor and it is getting water to spark plug. What do i do? Also need to know how to hook up wires for power trim. They cut them from the switch so i don't know how what to hook them to. There is 4 wires.

The water jacket cover gasket is leaking.---------Easy to replace ( on a fresh water motor )-------------bunch of 1/4" screws to take out is all it takes.

Sorry, is it water on the sparkplug from internally or is it water leaking around the sparkplug ( externally ) when the motor is running ???

This motor sat up for 3 years. When the old man started it for the first time it ran good for awhile then started missing. He pulled the plugs out and one of them was wet. I haven't run it yet.

Which one was wet? The bottom one?
