40 hp outboard starting problems

I replaced my fuel line (boat was running excellent) line was just old broke in 2 pieces - now motor won't start- any suggestions?
 
Sorry! I thought I responded to this the other day. Guess I did not hit the right button.

Anyway....if all was working ok before you changed the line, I would start in the area of change....and check basic things.

If it is the fuel line from the tank, make sure the arrow on the squeeze bulb is pointed in the direction of the motor. Make sure your fuel connector is connected to the motor all the way. Make sure your safety landyard is connected. Make sure that the new fuel line is not kinked where you connected it to fuel fittings.
