4.3L Oil Pan

I only operate in fresh water. So for the price difference I'm leaning toward an automotive pan. I was concerned about the baffle and capacity of the pan.

A more accurate indicator of life of an automotive pan in a boat is not likely saltwater vs fresh, but trailered vs moored/docked. 99.99% of the water in a boat's bilge is fresh water for a salt water boat.
 
Three things....

Cheap parts are not good and good parts are not cheap.....

There is always money to do the job twice but never enough to do it right.

Purchase the Marine pan, cover it with rubberized undercoating and let it dry before you put the engine back in.
