35hp Evinrude - no model/serial tag

Hey all - I picked up this motor pretty cheap to tinker with. Good compression. No spark.

There is no model/serial tag on it. I am guessing it is a 70s 35hp tiller. I have posted some pics. Can anyone identify it so I can start researching for parts? Please and thank you all!

Does not look like an Evinrude to me.----Try finding out about a YAMAHA or others on this one.

I concur. The top of the starter has “Japan”, which wouldn’t be an Evinrude or Johnson product. Re-post on the Yammy forum.

It looks like it is a Nissan from what I am finding. Still haven't identified exactly what it is, but I have seen some similarities on Nissan motors made by Tohatsu. Thanks all. I'll keep digging.
