30 hp mariner

I have an 82 model 30 hp mariner that I just got. I started it the other day and it ran but fuel was coming out of a port or little hole at the top of the carburetor. I am trying to figure out how to fix this. Thank you.

Remove carburetor and inspect / replace float or float valve.

Or just clean it out.
