25 hp evinrude powerpack issues

Had a problem with my evinrude running for 20 mins or so and stalling replaced fuel tank lines checked fuel pump when it dies im not sure of spark cuz i haven't had it stall running on land however i pulled the flywheel to check the ignition system and found my power pack in bad shape flywheel hit it and broke the metal square off could this cause it to idle fine take off ok and then die? I have pics of powerpack but they wont upload thanks for ur help

Well it sure would be suspect. Whether it is the culprit or not, you should replace it to avoid failure when it could be most inconvenient.

Yeah i ordered a new one and have it installed testing tomorrow i was just wondering when we went fishing before and it stalled it wasnt hot but could be temp sensor failure but was just wondering if a power pack could cause those symptoms
