25 hp doesn't start after replacing Woodruff key

It sneezes sometimes when I try to start.
I replaced the Woodruff key. The engine was ok before.
Could it be a timing setting which is stuck?
Appreciate your thoughts

Yes it is a factory key, lined it up, didn't torque the nut though but tightened it thoroughly.

If the key is not sheared then the motor should start right up.

Why did you replace the key? Was it sheared? If parts are damaged, or not done correctly, it may have sheared the new key. Briefly, the flywheel and shaft key slots must not be damaged, and must be clean and dry. And you must ​use a torque wrench to tighten the nut to specs. Don't be the hero that thinks he can guess at it.
