20w 50 Oil add ZDDP ?

Mechanic (in Florida) suggested this for 1997 350 XL ? He changed my plugs etc when I was south.

I am in the NJ/NY area and fish late into the Fall season. So it's 98* then 38*.

I also read 15W 40 being the Crusader spec for this engine on another forum?

Which of these is the best match ?? This model has a ' flat tappet' and should get the Zinc additive?

I have 1987 vintage 270's also with flat tappet's and I run 15w40 DELO as I'm told it has high zinc additives. I've been happy with the results and will continue to use it. I'm in the PNW and use the boat well into November and even December if the weather will cooperate. While we're not getting quite as hot up here, it's in the 80's in the Summer and down into the mid 30's in the Fall and Winter.

Just my two cents.
