2020 Yamaha F6 bogging like safe mode.

Hi all!!
I have a little F6, starts and runs great till about half throttle them seems to go into rpm reduction. this happens at around the same throttle position both in gear under load and revving up in neutral. What's really strange is this motor doesn't have either an oil pressure switch or a temp sensor. The ignition system seems so simple, just a two pole coil on the flywheel, with a ground and stop wire. I tested for fuel starvation by choking a little but that only causes the motor to bogg.
Was looking on line to see if anyone has seen this before but it seems like a bit of a unicorn Gioing to look into it more tomorrow but just frustrated this evening lol.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Any advice is appreciated? Stop revving the motor in neutral. Does nothing. Proves nothing. Can cause harm.

Update: Using a timing light, I found spark was breaking down at around 2500rpm. Checked all grounds, tested plug cap, disconnected stop circuit and replaced spark plug but spark is still breaking down. New ignition coil ordered.
