We are having ongoing issues with the engine not starting when using the ignition on the tiller drive. It does not engage or even remotely turnover. After jiggling the tiller and putting it in and out of gear it will somehow engage and start. We replaced the neutral switch and it helped for a short period of time and now has gone back to it's old ways of not starting. I have not bypassed the switch to see if it is once again an issue yet. However, if it is the switch, what's causing it to essentially burn out. We have a competent mechanic but he can't seem to figure it out. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not a boat mechanic.
