2012 Mercury 20HP - Throttle Engage stuck

All - new here and probably not my last question. I launched my boat yesterday after consistent use and my throttle would only engage in reverse. Took cowling off and found a plastic coated metal piece that was sheared off from somewhere. I’m not sure what it’s called or where it came from, but I have attached a few pictures. One of the pictures is of the same part that is still attached. Thanks for any and all help.
