I recently purchased a boat with a 2011 Mercury Pro XS 150 on it and i have had the boat out a couple of times with no problems. Yesterday i had it out and it ran fine all day until i was heading back in from being offshore. I slowed down and then when i went from clutching ahead to neutral a quick alarm sounded and the battery needle dropped significantly and then it idled fine. It is maintaining the battery volts while running and the batteries or only 8 months old. It only does this when returning to the neutral position from FWD or Reverse. Any thoughts? THX!
