Hi
Is it possible for oil to be leaking from fuel pump I assume fuel pump is driven by cam ?
Appreciate any insight on this

Possibly a bad O-ring item number 22 or damage in the area of (to) the fuel pump, https://www.marineengine.com/parts/...oke/0r235168-up/intake-manifold-and-fuel-pump

"Note" 'The following linked service manual is not for your engine size/model, just using it more as a general guide of how the fuel pumps tends to work... https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1087095/Mercury-40-Fourstroke.html?page=168#manual

The fuel pump is a diaphragm pump which is mechanically driven off of the rocker arm. The pump base insulates the fuel pump from the heat of the engine block. If the engine runs out of fuel or has a restriction (on the inlet side of the pump) preventing adequate fuel flow, the pump will make a "clicking" noise.

Though guessing without having your engine serial number to confirm... Here ought to be your engine parts,

^ And if so, you'd be looking for Mercury part number
