2007 225 narrow diameter tube, disengaged from the lower unit, it feeds up to the head. can't find a fitting that would accept at the lower unit

narrow diameter tube disengaged from the lower unit, it feeds to the head along the outer shell of the engine. Can't find a fitting on the lower unit that would accept tbe hose
 
Assuming that it is the water tube for the speed indicator, then it's best to plug the bottom end of it and install an external speed pickup. on the bottom of your transom. Here is a link to the kit. Or simply search for "Boat speedometer pitot."


You can splice in the tube from that external pitot to the existing tube above the transom by fabricating a butt connector from a small piece of plastic tubing that the original tubes fit into rather snuggly and seal with a good waterproof adhesive.

If you can't get to the bottom where the tube attaches, simply plug the little hole on the leading edge of the lower unit with 5200 or JB weld.

The internal pitot on these engines is a real PITA and they are easily clogged up. So this solution is far superior. And if it gets clogged or broken, 10 bucks will buy a replacement.
