2007 225 - fuel flow and gauge

How accurate have people found the fuel flow, gallons used and gauges to be on these motors? Trying to decide if I want to add a fuel flow sensor to my new Garmin package?

The Honda digital fuel usage that is embedded in the digital speedometer is very accurate, but darned expensive. On my boat with an 07 BF 225, at a typical 90 gallon fill up, the fuel usage from the gauge will be +/- 2.5 gallons off of actual gallons from the pump. I suspect that the stand-along fuel usage gauge will be just as accurate since it's reading the same signal from the ECU.

Good to know. The Garmin sensor goes in line I thought? But I can check my Honda gauge like you did and if its that close, then no need to buy something else to do the same thing.
