Hello. Looking for some advice on where to start to fix the mercury 115 optimax on my 2006 stratos 180fs. I recently bought this boat and have spent the last month going over it. I ran a compression test on it and it blew north of 115 across all cyl. I took it out yesterday for its maiden voyage (for me) and it jumped right up on step and ran beautiful for 2 laps around a small local lake (Western Washington state.)for maybe 10 min. I shut it off mid lake to mess with livewells, electric and sonar. When I went to take off again under the main motor, it was bogging down bad and would die from time to time at idle. I planned on ordering fuel line, bulb, plugs, and draining old gas out. This boat has sat since last Sept and the gas is probably trash and i probably should have done that in the first place. Any ideas on fuel lines? Which one does the optimax 115 take? Is a bulb really needed?
